Who Am I?
You might know me as karl in the street or oavo on the computer
or simply as “the cheeky window cleaner”!
I hope this intro gives you a little insight into what I aim to achieve with my third website,oavo.co.uk.

Why a Third Website?
Having my own site gives me freedom of speech and goodwill.
The Internet provides the fastest, most convenient route to share my stories worldwide—
so if America’s interested, they’ll see them—and if France isn’t, The Internet simply won’t show them there.
Having three websites gives me even more exposure and a clear footprint ; ).

Introducing oavo
With the Internet, I’m unleashing an online character called oavo.
Worldwide members have known me as oavo since the early 2000s, but now I’m going to use oavo’s stories to help the Wirral community in real life instead of only supporting my online community—
all done with freedom of speech and goodwill.

The Challenge: Digital Dependence
oavo will roam the Wirral that’s a place in the United Kingdom, combining modern tech with the values of years gone by.
This is the biggest challenge I’ve faced over the last three years. Every time I try to solve a problem for my Wirral community, I’m determined not to use the internet or a phone—because of our over-reliance on screens/calls is our greatest issue today for our community values.
We choose how to interact with our listeners; we don’t let a machine dictate our conversations. Talking face to face is a human need.
Can a screen ever replace that? Nope.

Everyday “New Requests”
“Can you get someone to go on the internet or make a phone call for you, please, madam? Maybe a neighbour or family member?”
“Can you find someone to help you read and write this, please, sir? Maybe a friend or colleague?”
It’s shocking how little embarrassment is considered in these intrusive asks! So many people have been scammed online or over the phone, and now they’ll never trust those channels the same way again.
Is it right that serious UK services can only be accessed by phone or on the internet? Where is the help desk?
The Peak of Embarrassment
Request number two represents the peak of embarrassment! Forcing someone to admit they need help reading or writing is simply unacceptable. Instead of shaming them, we should guide them toward discreet, respectful support.
Many lifelong Wirral residents still cherish the customs of years gone by—fifty years ago, all interactions with organisations happened by post or face to face, acknowledging that many people couldn’t read or write.
Today’s dependence on phones and the internet shuts out those same individuals, who are too embarrassed to ask for help when the request itself feels intrusive. Where is the help kiosk?

oavo’s Mission and Your Role
So, this is me—karl—releasing my character oavo to the world with the Internets help, but the greatest help/support comes from you, the amazing Wirral community, with the stories we generate together through freedom of speech and goodwill.
Basically, I get to tell the whole world how beautiful the Wirral and its people really are.

A Cheeky Side Note
If I can add a bit of humour, here’s another reason for starting my sites:
“I will take over Google one day, hehe.”
Google has been the number-one internet site for far too long, and it’s about time to hand over the reins to the cheeky window cleaner called oavo and his mate elon musk.

Thank You
Thank you so much, everyone.
It’s been emotional spending community time with you over the last three years. The honour I feel when a caring shop assistant talks to me about helping the Wirral community is unmatched.
The loving care I’ve received from establishments, services, and community projects is undeniable. The banter with the police over community flowers is mutual—and I love it.
But your guidance, when you could just walk past, feels like a treasure trove.
Thank you so much, and see you soon as oavo, the community helper!
